Hi,
Recently when I try to burn a DVD I get at approx. 20% an error "Invalid Block Adress".
I tried rebooting, etc... I have tried Verbatim DVD-R and it even occurs with a Philips DVD+RW which I used many times before.
I just upgraded Nero from 5.5.10.15 to 5.5.10.35, but the problem persists.
RecordNow Max 4.60 failes too at 20%.
What does this mean?
Bad discs?? Mostly they fail but sometimes it's successful..
My Aspi32 is 4.71.2.
Firmware related?
Hope someone can give me some hints...

Yeah i'm having the same problem for no reason at all my dvd are failing with "Invalid block adress" errors

I am 100% sure this has nothing at all to do with media . . . my reason!
1. When I purchased my Pioneer 106 I had it plugged into my P3 800 and I burn't 70DVD-R without a problem at all.
2. I built a new PC AMD 2600 and as soon as I started using it on this machine I get the Invalid Block Address Error.
I would estimate this error at around 20%
Any one come up with a solutions?

Hi Guys,
Not sure how you guy went with this problem, but mine appears to be resolved. I contacted Nero and explained what was happening the the following was their fix:
1. First make sure you have your Nero 5 serial key to install Nero/Nero Express with. It should look like 15xx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxx. It should be located on the inside of the Nero Jewel case, or on the back of the paper sleeve the Nero CD came in.
2. Then download NeroClean Tool from ftp://ftp9.nero.com/attach/Nero-CleanTool.zip to your desktop. Unzip the file and then double click on the EXE file to run. Select 'Clean All' option and then click on the 'Clean' button to Uninstall all Nero products. And then reboot your system. It will clean the registry and remove all Nero entries.
3. After that download and install the latest Nero version from our webpage
http://www.nero.com/us/631933457317970.html
Please note: Updates to our latest Nero 5.xx release is free of charge.
If you want to upgrade to Nero 6 you have to buy a serial number at our online shop on our webpage.
Important: Your Nero 5.xx serial number will not work with Nero 6.
I am now using Nero Version 5.5.10.54 and all appears to be working great. I have since burnt 20+ DVD-R without a problem.
Another thing worth noting is when I had this problem I also tried Version 6 of Nero that a friend gave me a copy of with a Key he got from the web. Now this version in combination with the Key he provided still caused the same problem.
I hope you find this of help.
Cheers

also make sure you do not have any other programs running when you are burning. i mean ANY. disconnect from the internet, shut down virus programs, everything. then try to burn

sitlet,
This problem had nothing to do with any applications at all. I even had the problem when I only had XP on the system and Nero, no other applications!
I'm now running Nero 5.5.10.54 and burning a 4x doesn't stop me from doing anything on my PC. I have my Virus Checker still on and I can pretty print, download and Install while burning.
Cheers
Amelia
