Hi,
![]()
This is a very newbie question for you guys!! So please answer me!!
I have quickly and easily converted a DivX film to SVCD with Pinnacle TRex. Now I have a a 1.4G mpeg2 file that I want to cut so I can burn my SVCDs. In TMPGEnc, MPEG Tools I have to choose Start time and End Time of the piece of file to cut.
Now, I choose start 00:00 and the question is: how do I know the End time so I can get the file size that best fits a 650M or 700M CDRW?

How do I know how many CDRWs will I need? I suppose that (from one of the newbie guides I can fit 735M / 795M on 650M/700M CDRWS, right?) it will be 2 CDRWs only, right?

Thanks!!

mine 2 cents..
it depends on how many cds you want to use and what size they are:
1.4 GB can be put on 2 x 700 MB cds breaking point of the mpeg somewhere in the middle. Take the time of the movie and devide by 2, go there and move forward of backward till the begin/end of a scene and cut.
It could be cause of the scene 1 of the mpgs will not fit then you cut it right in the middle of a scene or take another cd. devide the time by 3 and do the proces for 3 cds..
