Hi, all.
I'm using CCE (2.67) along with AVISynth to convert Pal svcd mpeg2's to NTSC format to burn on DVDr.
My question is, since I'm just doing a straight CBR reencode (at 2500-2700Mbits), is the VAF needed or can I simply uncheck this setting?
I don't seem to notice any diff (well, a .03 increase in speed) in the test vids I've played around with with VAF disabled.
Thanks!
AIR.

The vaf is only necessary if you plan on doing at least a second pass. For just plain CBR there is no need to set CCE to output a .vaf file. I didn't realize it could increase speed slightly, but I guess that makes sense.
