I have captured an avi in DV format and want to de-multiplex the audio and video so i can reduce the hiss/noise from the audio and then multiplex them back. TMPGEnc doesn;t support the video, nor does virtualdub.

    Any suggestions are welcome! 8)

You wouldn't call this task DEMUXING.
But this can be done easily in any NON-LINEAR EDITING program
PREMIERE, ULEAD EDIT, VEGAS VIDEO come to mind
But depending on your final use, There's no need to seperate the file into components if you use any NON-LINEAR EDITING APP,
as the program will work on the audio in place to reduce noise and hiss in place....

Then you can seperate the sound from pic as you RENDER to MPEG-2 if your authoring a DVD and the program requires seperate streams
