I just received my Canopus device and opened it up. There are two power cords. The standard round plug type and also a semi flat plug. It has a two prong female end. Did you guys get this too. And if so, What is it used for?
I'm stupid....Please ignore this post...

the flat 2 prong plug goes into the power transformer box that is connected to the small round plug.

It would have been soooo cool if they had just powered it off the Firewire bus. The manual lists a nominal 5W power consumption, which is well within Firewire's capability. I would love to get rid of an AC power cord.
