HELP !!Can't find burn comtrollers for MKEpanasonic DVD-Ram

Install went fine,hardware and software, but can't find controller in device manager 'Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2' says i don't have a burner on my pc
updated firmware, didn't help, updated bios didn't help. I can put in a disk that was already written to and the drive will read it but just won't let me burn. Was told if i change configuration Master/slave all should be fine.
Any thoughts/advice on how to proceed?

MKEpanasonic DVD-Ram 4.7gb (master)
Sony 50x CD-Rom (Slave)
20gb Hd
had Nero but too many errors to even load Avi files
use 'Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2' now
have 80 gb hard drive ready to install but wanted to solve dvd problem first, before i took on another windows headache, ya know what i mean.

Did you d/l the latest patches from Ulead:http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf_ftp.htm

any other ideals?

In MF2 go to the page that asks you what speed you want to burn,in the box that asks "Recorder" choose NTI writing engine "<D:>Panasonic....(NTI)".

controllers/device drivers are not found
