  1. Hi All,

I wonder if someone can help me with this: I'm trying to create a DVD with DVD Movie Factory, with no success. I had done this before easily but with smaller projects.

I've tried to burn the DVD, no good. Tried to create an ISO file, and the same happens: "ERROR in writing to a file". It happens right at the end of the operation. Now, if I choose to create the structure of the DVD (audio and video folders with the VOB files and all) it works fine... Only I don't know how to burn the DVD from this (if there is a way).

It looks like it's some file size limitation in Windows 98SE (the DVD whole project is 4.177 Gb).

So, what options do I have? Can I burn the DVD from the saved structure? OR How do I deal with this file size limitation? Windows XP will do?

Thanks very much for any hints.

    Marcos.

  2. You're right, you've probably come across the file size limitation of Win9x. You should either upgrade to WinNT/2000/XP which is a wise move in every aspect, or (as you suggest) burn the DVD from the saved structure.

You should have the compiled VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders in your disk, so fire up Nero (one of the latest versions) and choose DVD VIDEO. It will create new VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, leave AUDIO_TS empty and import all files from your disk's VIDEO_TS folder to Nero's VIDEO_TS folder. Then burn as usual. If you're confused with this, have a look at How To Author guides in this site.
