  1. I wanna be able to add trailers for films on2 the start of svcd i'm burning. I use DVD2SVCD to encode the films. How can i get the trailer on2 the same disc & make them both fit, as the film is made 2 fit on 1 disc? What program do I use? Can I use DVD2SVCD?

    Cheers

What I've done is encode the movie with TMPGEnc, then encode the trailers with TMPGEnc, and burn them with Ulead DVD Movie Factory, or Nero. That way I can choose if I want to watch the trailers, or go straight to the movie. I prefer Movie Factory, because I can add chapters to the movie. This is just one way of doing it...

  3. You're not going to be able to use DVD2SVCD for this one because it produces an image file that is essentially unable to be edited (not without a lot of effort, anyway...)

Encode the video and the trailer in TMPGEnc, using the appropriate settings (download the DVDHelp.us TMPGEnc Templates if you don't know your way around TMPGEnc) and then take them both to VCDEasy.

Open VCDEasy, and in the section where you add files, just add the trailer first, and then the video file (or files, assuming you keep everything in the proper order, etc.)

It will produce a BIN/CUE ready to be burned in Alcohol 120% (or your favorite image burning program, just DO NOT USE NERO FOR SVCD!), but this time your trailer will played prior to the beginning of the main video.

  4. I have encoded both files with TMPGEnc but when I try & add them to VCDEasy I get an error msg for both files. For the trailer I get "VCD1.1/VCD2.0 requires MPEG1 files, not MPEG2 files. Then for the movie I get "1972 MB : This MPEG files is too big."

How do I convert the files to MPEG1? Why is it to big?
