I've never seen a "macro-block reduction" option before. Which encoder is that?
Most lay people use the term "macroblock" to refer to block noise, like the author of this thread did. (That's fine with me.) But that definition conflicts with the technical meaning of "macroblock", so I find it surprising that the author of an mpeg encoder would offer an option by that name.
Just wondering if the "macro-block reduction" option might be intended for something else. Or is that the actual name?
