Hi, I'm somewhat new to DVD authoring and ffmpegx, so this might be a "duh" question, so please bear with me.

    Original File: Mpeg1 29.97 fps, 1.15 Mbit/s
    Output: DVD VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS/.img

    hi-rate DVD preset:
changed video size to VCD NTSC
changed frame rate to NTSC (29.97)

    OPTIONS (listed of checked items)
    No SVCD scan
    Bicubic scaling
    Altivec
Decode with Quicktime (I have mpeg2 encoder for QT)
    Profile: DVD
    Not interlaced
    Thread: Normal

    TOOLS
    Author as DVD
    Keep elemntary streams

The resulting picture would play fine on my computer (and my PlayStation) but the picture is distorted on a regular DVD player, which my first try did have a good picture. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but the DVD player cannot support VCDs.

I can only see the picture clearly when I'm fast forwarding. The distortion is like it's zoomed in and also stretched vertically off the bottom of the screen (the people are skinny). At PLAY speed the picture resembles an .avi file when the picture is messed up (if that helps any).

I'm not sure, becuase the new manual does not mention this, but does the "set 3:2" on the OPTIONS tab have something to do with this? I did NOT have it checked last time, and may have before, and wondered if that was the problem. I also used mpeg2 encoding when I had used mpeg1 before.

    Any help would be fantabulous.
