  1. I don't have crappy hardware, but I notice that VCDs I make look much better on tv from a player than on my computer screen using WMP. Does anyone know any good PC VCD/SVCD player that gives you the TV look instead of the pixelated noise filled crappy PC look?? My desktop resolution is 1024 X 768, and I have a GeForce4 MX 440 128 AGP video cad with an envision En-775e True-Flat CRT with .21 mm HDP. So far Zoom Player gives me the best results for VCD, but noise is still rather noticable, as is pixelation. I use Power DVD for SVCD/CVD, but for some reason the aduio always is too low sounding, Any help there?

  2. A VCD will usually look better on a TV than a PC especially if you use WMP.Use Cyberlink PowerDVD,WinDVD or I-VCD player(free in Tools) to view on PC.

also, don't resize it if you play it in powerdvd. let it play in a small window.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

  4. the computer screen has better qulity then the tv .
thats why it looks "better" on a tv (bigger dots = less qulity),
the comuter screen is much sharper, so you can see every glitch
    in the video.
i dont think a different player will do the trick, but it might help a bit.

  5. All the players are pretty much the same.
WMP is as good as any.
If you want to try some others ...go here:

  6. WMP version 7+ does not understand the DAR tags --> so your video looking slightly off.

I suggest the software DVD players as the others have suggested or go back to using WMP6.x

  8. I prefer WinDVD, it plays Audio CD's, DVD, Divx, and VCD's. If you get WinDVD Recorder, you can even watch/capture from a tuner card.

Its amazing how 1 program can do more than all of Ati Multimedia center
