    ok, here's the deal:

i've got a movie on SVCD which suffers from keystone distortion:

and it drives me nuts every time i watch it, so i want to re-encode
it and maybe even put it to DVD but i'd like to correct the skewed
image before i finalize it. anyone know of any keystone correction
    filters?

Seems like I remember seeing an AVISynth 2.5x filter that did this. Start here: www.avisynth.org

Also check here for filters: http://shelob.mordor.net/dgraft

Try searching for the keywords "AVISynth" and "Perspective". I can't remember where I found it, but if I run across it, I'll post the link here.

i know that movie projectors have this keystone correction feature built-in and if i had one, i could probably use it to correct the distortion and re-capture the movie on my PC, but buying one to fix this one movie would make for one very expensive video filter.
