  1. I've never burnt a video cd before so I may be doing something wrong. I followed the instructions in the author guide on this site but when its coming to near the end of doing the cd, there's no interaction with the cd-rw drive and Nero prompts me to save the video cd as a Nero cd image. What have I done wrong?

  2. Click on recorder, choose recorder and make sure your burner is selected and not the image recorder.

  3. I just tried that but the image recorder is the only available option, the cd-rw is not selectable.

  4. Then for some reason nero is not recognising your CD burner. Do you have any other burning software installed that may cause conflicts, and does your burner show up in explorer.

  5. The only other burning software I know of is Record Now which came on the computer when I bought it. Yes, the burner does show up in explorer though it appears nero is the only program which can't find it.

Your probably missing the WNASPI32.DLL driver. I solved it by installling Adaptec Easy CD Creator.

Does Record Now recognize the writer?

  8. Yes, record now recognizes the burner.

  9. Try uninstalling record now and nero then reinstalling nero, there may be a conflict between the 2 burning applications.

I had that same problem with my DVD+RW drive. It turns out the version of Nero I had couldn't recognize my DVD+RW drive, and I had to upgrade my version of Nero. Check the Nero web site to see if your CD drive is supported. It might not be supported if it's a newer CD drive, and an older version of Nero. Just a thought...
