I backed up The Wizard of OZ DVD using TMPGEnc. I transferred the dvd chapter points into VCDeasy and produced an SVCD image.
When I played back the image in PowerDVD the chapters were incorrect.
I'm not just talking about 1 or 2 secs.
It wasn't a constant difference so I couldn't just add some offset. first chapter was out by 15secs and others up to 1min out.

    ideas ?

  2. This problem has bugged me to NO END!!!

I can NEVER get my SVCD chapters to work correctly in VCDEasy.....only my VCD chapters.

Maybe something here will help you.....it didn't help me though:

I'm sort of lucky with one problem people have, my Philips 718 doesn't even show the time on the display.
For the chapter points issue, normally my chapters are within 1/2 a sec of the DVD points but for some reason The Wizard of Oz was all over the place.
There were other issues with that movie that I hadn't seen before, and still haven't. FYI these were,
    1. VOB1 contained 3mins of bonus material at the begining.
    2. VOB1 had no sound in PowerDVD. other VOBs were fine.
    3. When I DVD2AVI'd the VOBs, DVD2AVI didn't produce any wav file until the first bit of bonus material had passed. As soon as the movie stuff started the DD 2/3 stuff appeared in the audio box. This created problems in TMPG with range sourcing but I fixed it by adjusting the starting point of DVD2AVI.

Did some more movies this weekend and the chapters are fine. Thankfully!

My biggest dislike with SVCDs are how it goes to Chap 2 the first time you press NEXT regardless of where you are in the movie. But I can live with it.
