    I have read people saying that the E30 only works with 1X media - but this sounds odd. I realise it only burns at 1X, but wouldn't 2X and 4X work fine in it too (just stepping back to 1X burn speed)?

    Based on the number of your questions you might want to come over to the hs2 forum. www.thewholewideweb.com/forum/. There is a help forum there and most of the answers that apply to the hs2 when using dvd-r and dvd-ram will also apply to the e30.
