NEC ND 1300A = One Great +/- RW Drive

Have burned few DVD+R and DVD-R in Data backup
They are really stable in term of accessing and playing (some are mpeg files)
Made one DVD-9 to DVD-5 convertion with one of my DVD collection by using DVD Shrink and Nero burn...the quailty is amazing..something I didn't expect even DVDShrink did some compression to the movie in order to make that movie fit in one DVD+RW...
I really like this drive...
The cost is around $1750 HKD (= $225USD) here...
It's really worth the money I spent on this!

NEC 1300 will never burn cheap non-japanese media eg. PRINCO4x!!
It seems to be bundled to far-east expensive media.

Gee, just have a look at that list. There are lots of cheap media, among them several non-Asian. Also, as you can see there is one type of Princo that CAN be used.

Check mediacodes on that list and U will see they are all japanese and taiwanese, some produced with licensed mediacodes.

Most problems are related to 4x burning.
