DVD Burning with Nero

With Richo MP 5125A DVD drive and Intervideo Win DVR I have captured 7.Gb from VCR machine.
These files are MPEG files waiting to be burnt to a 7.2 gb DVD Disk.
Nero version 5 states to creat a DVD disk VOB,IFO,and BUP files required.
I need to creat a DVD disk that will play on home DVD player and not just on computer
Appreciate help to proceed further and burn to DVD disk.
This is my first attempt at DVD capture and burn to DVD disk.
Do I require additional software or should Nero perform as required

u can purchase a mpeg2 encoder from nero's web site. i thing it's either 10 or 20 bucks
