I am doing some home movies in iMovie 2 and going to SVCD with them. I export as Quicktime Full Quality Large .mov and open with ffmpegX (0.0.6m although it has happened in earlier versions too) using SVCD (NTSC) Presets.

It chugs along, makes .m2v and .wav, then .mp2 and finally .mpg

    Great right?

    Well then the terminal says...

    movie.mpg already exists. erase? [n.y.a]:

It was an empty folder when I started so the only .mpg in there is the one ffmpegX made. I think I have tried all 3 answers (n.y.a) but it just seems to hang there.

I have been using a workaround. I force quit Terminal and use Missing Mpeg Tools to create the SVCD structure using the .mpg from ffmpegX.
It seems to work OK but I was wondering if I was doing something wrong in ffmpegX.

    Thanks,

  2. I occasionally get this problem also. I'm not sure what factors cause it.

I think it may be when I trash a file with the same name but I can't confirm this.
