I tried making BMP files from the images from a DVD menu using TMPGenc (file->Output to file) from a d2v file created with DVD2AVI, but not all the frames/images were saved. I tried playing around with some of the settings (including the frame rate), but nothing seemed to make it get those couple of missing frames.

I searched the forums and found someone with a similar problem, but there were no replies.

You are always going to lose the last couple of frames when frameserving with dvd2avi. The solution for working with menu's is to load the same vob twice, than you will only lose the last couple of frames from the very end. So all your pics that you need will be there.

Well, there weren't just frames missing at the beginning or the end, there was a frame or two missing every couple frames.

Loading the vob twice and doing two passes got all the frames all right, but it was time consuming and annoying. There's no way to get them all in one pass? If so, then it'd be nice if someone updated DVD2AVI so it would be possible to get them all...

Ok, I think I may know what the problem is. Make sure that forced film is turned OFF in dvd2avi when processing menu's. Menu's are always stored as NTSC which means they are 29.97fps. When you use forced film on NTSC material it simply decimates random frames to get to the 23.976fps output. Forced film should only be used on film material, such as the main movie.

OK, that seemed to work. I had thought that I had already turned the foreced film off, but I guess I didn't... Sorry about that.
