    I just installed the DivX and Elecard codecs and now I only get audio from my right speaker. I'm not sure what did it, but uninstalling both didn't help. I have verified the balance settings from the volume control panel and everything is set up correctly.

    Anyone have any idea what may have happened?

    Sorry if this doesnt help at all, I am sure you have already checked for this. But anyway, here goes, I disconnected everything from the back of my computer so that I could install a firewire card. But when I hooked everything back up I didnt push the audio cable for my speakers into the computer all the way. It was only half way in so of coarse when I pushed it in all the way, problem solved.
