  1. Hi. I have just got a DVD burner and I am very new to this. But I managed to author a DVD with the help of Ulead DVD Workshow (trial verison 1.3). On my first DVD burned, I had approx. 20 minutes of video on it. The second, third and forth DVD authored and burded I had approx. 2 hours and 10 minutes on the DVD. But all the DVD's I play on the player, exept for the first one, kind of skip som of the frames during play. And I can not live with this. An example: if I have a video of me saying: Hi, I come from Norway, and Iam new to this. I would hear during playback: Hi, I come from ... new to this. WHY? I use WinXP, my DVD Burner is Sony DRU500AX, and I use a NAD T570 DVD player for playback.

If anyone knows what might be the problem, please respond to my message. Thanks.

  2. It sounds like the combined bitrate might be too high, but then again, if you have 2h 10min on it it should not be like that. Check it anyways, the total combined bitrate cannot exceed 10.08 Mbit/sec

Also, are you burning to a rewritable? They are less compatible than write-once media, and I have found that DVD-RWs often exhibit minor glitches that don't appear when the same project is burned to a DVD-R.
