Used to create SVCD NTSC from Divx and Xvid now cannot.
What I need is advice from someone on what steps to take to try and find what the problem is.
My DVD player does not play SVCD. Always used the Header Trick to fool the DVD player into playing the SVCDs as a VCD. This method always worked.
My NTSC SVCDs were generated using TMPGenc from a Xvid and Dvix source. The last successful NTSC SVCD was created just before I tried to create/convert to PAL SVCD. To do this I introduced onto my computer Virtualdub and Beesweet.
Since then I have NOT been able to generate a NTSC SVCD that will play on the DVD player. IT WILL play on the computer.
1st step I took was to delete revelant programs and clean the registry. Then reinstalled only what I needed to create NSTC SVCDs. This did not work.
2nd looked at the final burning process. Burnt a newly formed SVCD and then an old SVCD. The old played on the stand alone DVD player but the
new didnot. Compared both and the difference appears to be the bitrate. Old was 2520, new 2056. I think this is irrevelant though.
Am really confused. Been trying to solve this for 4 months now.
I think it must have something to do with the codecs but have no idea how to test this.
Also used VCDEasy to create a SVCD NSTC. Same result as with TMPGenc
so that is why I think it must be the codecs.
Any ideas anyone? Really, really desperate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
