Most KAR files are Midi files with timed text. Once this midi file is rendered as a WAV file, it could be converted to use in a CDG/VCD/DVD.
The text could be made into CDG text, or added to a video editing app to be rendered as a video file-converted to MPEG video and burned in VCD/DVD, or could be made into subtitles and authored in a DVD.
Do a google search on "Karaoke" or "CDG", and a search on this site and you'll find a number of things to help you. Particularly there is an app called "CDG2VCD" or something like that and another app called MP3Tools or MP3+G Tool (?) that shorten the processes considerably.

Thx for your replay
but i allreayd have a music video downloaded and i just want to add the text of the kar file into the downloaded music video.
so it will be an karaoke video with the orginal music video.
is there a way to make this possible?? -
Here's what I would do:
*Compare the length/timing of the KAR file with the Music Video. If they match, your job is much easier.
*Strip out the text from the KAR file (using tools found on the net-they're there). You want to make sure this includes the timings for the text. QuicktimePro might be helpful here. Also check tools/demos at http://www.tyrannosoft.com. (Hope that link works...)
*Use a subtitling tool (see tools section LEFT <--) to convert to DVD-style subtitle in the authoring app of your choice.
*Make sure your Music Video is encoded/prepared to be authoring-ready.
*Combine MusicVideo (video)+MusicVideo (audio)+Subtitle in your authoring app and make the disc image and burn.
If the timings are wrong or unavailable, you're probably gonna have to type the text in yourself in your authoring/subtitling app.
Good luck,

Use Karaoke Builder Studio version 3.0.07 to create a BIN File with CD+G then convert it to AVI. Once this part is done, go to Premiere 6.5, import the AVI file to the video 2 track, by using the transparency key to overlay on top of your video-clip. Once you have your AVI file made, then use MPEG Encoder in Premiere to convert to MPEG-2, then go to DVD Architect (from Sonic) to make Menu and burn to DVD. If you would like to make a SVCD, use Ulead DVD Workshop. See details with screenshoots and a final video-clip in .WMV (Win Media Player) at this link -> http://www.tenhon.ca/slog/index.asp ( ID: karaoke , PW: guest )
