  1. I have been trying to record captured DV onto DVD. Here's what I have so far: I capture the video into AVI format and use TMPG to encode the file to NTCS DVD compatible MPEG2 (seperate video and audio file). The encoded video (output from TMPG) appears great. However, when I try to author with IFOEdit or DVDLab I get the following problems:

    1. IFOEdit--the video plays "fast forward" giving a jerky effect and out of sync with the audio. I've check the frame rate and it is 29.97. It is IFOEdit v. 0.95

    2. DVDLab--makes great menus and doesn't swell the file size (as does MyDVD from Sonic). However, the video is really jumpy. I've checked the source and it is very smooth.

I use Nero to burn the DVD.

    A few other notes:
I've tried the DVD authoring software included with the capture utilites Pinnacle Studio and Cyberlink PowerDirector, but neither have many options for creating the DVD. I also got Sonic MyDVD with my computer and it is so wasteful of space, I've given up on it.

    Any help would be appreciated.
