I have some divx files which i've been converting to SVCD using tmpgenc's Constant Quality setting. All works fine, but when I play the burned SVCDs on my standalone, its counter reports the total running time as about 29 mins, whereas these divx files each run approx 44 mins. I timed one SVCD by my wristwatch and it does indeed run the full 44 mins, but the standalaone counter seems to lag and finishes at 29. Not a big deal, but I was just wondering if this is a common problem with some standalones not being able to correctly report the runtime due to the CQ setting. This was my first attempt at CQ and my standalone (Technosonic) never had this problem with SVCDs encoded with CBR.
