I just noticed this after burning a video, the video was not displayed on my TV 2inches to the rigth screen,
I noticed because the words were cut off on the right side, but the mpeg2 file shows when viewd on my computer, when i encoded i always selected 4:3 NTSC

im still having this problem,
except i now know its cut 2 inches off the entire boarder of the video, -
need more details if you want some help. what's your source file? what are you using to convert to mpeg1/2? for details on the source file, open it in g-spot (available in tools section). give us this info and we can probably help you.

This is known as overscan and all tv's do it to a certain extent. Search the forum for overscan you should find an explination.
