    Are there any?

Can you buy them, or are they offered free anywhere? I love how easy the menus/templates are in iDVD, but needed bitrate control, so i got DVD Studio Pro.

Now i am a bit annoyed that for such a simple added functionality I am giving up tons of useability and simplicity.

    thanks,

    Andy

You can wait until DVD Studio Pro 2 comes out. DVD SP2 has buit-in templates like iDVD.

    I'm waiting for my copy.

  4. The easiest way to make menus for DVDSP is in photshop. I do not have any links off the top of my head that i could give you (sorry) about using photoshop to do this, but search google and you should come up with something.

As far as templates go, I suppose you could just make a basic set in photoshop to use whenever you want but that is probably more work then it is worth. Hope this helped some...

I suppose that's what I will have to do, google returns nothing.

Yes, just design your menus in photoshop with 720*480 pixel images at 72 pixels/inch, and save them as multilayered .psd files, or single layered .pct files. I do multi-layered .psd files for the menu background and text, and a flattened .pct for the button overlay (the part that highlights when a button is selected), which is just black and white (and maybe shades of grey). You can also make mpeg2 movies at 720x480 for the menu background if you want motion menus, using QTPro or FCP to composite your video clips where you want the buttons. You can do a forum search here for instructions on how to do this.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
