    I went to load a avi file into TMPGEnc and all i get is a black screen, some of my other avi files are fine. the avi files which go black were ok before anyone know how to get round this please.

    I had the same problem with TMPGEnc 12j. I set it for a batch encode overnight and woke up to a black screen mpeg with sound but no picture. I re-encoded using TMPGEnc 12a and everything was fine. You can d/l v. 12a on this site.
