  1. Hi all...

Im am trying to render an mpg stream (ntsc film 720x480) with a transparent text overlay (same res as video)created in photoshop7. On the rendered mpg the text is no longer smooth and crisp. Has anyone else seen this?

    Hi mtremel,

    1. Did you create you text in Photoshop as anti-alias?
    2. Create your text overlay directly in Vegas. I did that and it looks very good.

    Regards.

also you may be creating your txt in photoshop at the wrong resolution .. if you made it at 720x480 - that is incorrect because that will be changed as your video is at .909 aspect ratio and you made the txt at 1:1 aspect ratio

  4. Ok...
So the text can not be anti-alised? I would directly make it in vegas, except its for a motion menu so it needs to line up.

BJ_M, should the overlay be created as 720x540? The source video is only 720x480.

    Thanks for help.
