  1. I've got a couple of downloaded clips in ASF format that I've had trouble converting. I've since found that the problem files are using the Microsoft MPEG-4 video codec, and the Windows Media 8 audio codec.

In TMPGENC these clips take over an hour to convert a 4min vid. The resulting MPG video plays fine, but only the first couple of seconds of audio then silence.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks,

    NiVZ.

  3. Not a real good solution, but could you open them up in VDub and save as Uncompressed AVI (huge as hell, but for only 4 mins, itll be alright), then open up THAT file from TMPEG?

  5. Turns out it's the Audio thats the problem.

I converted the Audio using Windows Media Encoder 9 and then used the video from the original file in the Video option, but used the converted audio from WME 9 in the Audio option of TMPGEnc.

    Works fine now.
