  1. i know this was covered before, however upon doing a search nothing came up. i have the latest tmpg, i know they changed somethings so that it only supports certain mpeg 2 files (or more so codecs). Older versions worked with my mpeg2 files and the latest one does not. i noticed in the vfapi pluggin section it has mention for cyberlink and ligos. i do have the ligos mpeg 2 player and powerdvd XP 4 on my pc, so should tmpg be seeing the codecs used for these and to let me then input my files in the program?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
i have not had to covert my files in a long time and i need to convert these mpeg 2 files i have to a lower rate.

  2. Workaround not a fix:

run the mpeg2 through dvd2avi then open up the .d2v and .wav in tmpgenc as source instead of the mpeg2.
