  1. Had a XVID file and converted it to NTSC Film SVCD using TMPGenc.
Then used the header trick solution to enable my VCD DVD player to play SVCD.
Problem is that I am unable to change the MPEG-2 type using multiplex option to MPEG-1.
    Steps I follow are
    1. open TMPGEnc version 2.58
    2. disable wizard
    3. File...MPEG tools
    4. Select Multiplex
    5. Add MPEG-2 file
    6. Change output file name
    7. Change type in dropdown list to MPEG-1 (non-std)
    8. run.
After this I closed TMPGEnc then reopened it and went back to multiplex reopening the new file only to see the type is still a MPEG-2 file.
    What am I doing wrong?????

  2. ok after u do your settings and hit ok than click on save or save as and save the settings you used as a template the reason there changing back is because u didnt save and thus its reverting back to the original settings
Its always funny when it happens to someone else

  3. Thanks for the reply but I am now confused.
I have a finished MPEG-2 file and through the Multiplex option under MPEG Tools am changing its reading format from MPEG-2 to a MPEG-1 while still keeping the MPEG-2 internal structure.
After I hit run (step 8) I have no other options. Cannot use save as to do that I have to close the MPEG Tools option. Thus I am no longer dealing with that file or its settings.
    Thanks anyway.
