  1. hello, i have a movie file with the .bin extention, i have read a few posts that say i should alter a line in the corresponding cue file with a text editor, and then i should be able to burn the file on a dvd-r using nero. the problem i have run into is, every text editor tells me the .bin file is to large and won't open it. is there a tutorial that explains the steps to take to convert .bin files to dvd files, or something that will let me view this movie on a stand alone dvd player? thanks for any help.

why are you trying to open the .bin file to edit the .cue file?

the .cue file should only be 2 or 3 lines of text.

  4. If you ONLY HAVE THE BIN FILE, then you will need to regenerate a new CUE/BIN image.

I suggest that you use the CUE/BIN Regenerator tool in GNU VCDImager Tools GUI here: http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html

After you regenerate a new CUE/BIN image, you can burn that with a number of burning proggies including VCDEasy/CDRDAO, CDRWin and Nero.

This is assuming your BIN file is actually an image of a S/VCD of course.
