The .m2v file isn't created but the .mp2 file is! I did install the 3 external "programs" needed for ffmpegX. The file I'm trying to convert is located on another partition than where ffmpegX (and the system OS X) is located. I also have ffmpegX on the same partition as the file I'm trying to convert but I get the same problem. I'm using ffmpegX 0.0.6m... BUT when using 0.0.4g it all works fine! But for some reason the quality is less and I want to encode subtitles as well (I believe that is possible with SVCD?)... Can anyone please help me!!

    Thanks

And I also don't understand why it does work in the older ffmpegX version...
