  1. I have been trying to convert this DvD rip from Avi to MPEG so I can make a vcd out of it. However, after converting the audio is very out of sync with the picture. This only happens when I try to convert certain movies. Some movies come out perfectly fine...others do not. Some of my movies only have a few seconds of audio at the beginning of the movie after they are converted. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or what my problem may be? Any help is appreciated!

Do you scan and remove bad frames first?
Do you strip the audio into a wav file and use that as your audio source?

You should be doing both of these.
