I found a Lite-ON CD-RW 52r 52w 24rw Int IDE RP CD-RW for £36.00 (58.97 USD). Are these burners any good? I've heard good things about Lite-ON drives...![]()

It totally rocks!
I bought one a few weeks ago to replace a terminally ill Iomega 12x4x32 ZipCD that could barely read disks, let alone burn them. I finally killed it altogether when I flashed it with the wrong firmware.
Ever since I got it, I've actually been able to burn disks at the full 52x without the machine even batting an eye--even if they're not rated for 52x.
The drive I got was badged as a Verbatim, but when I got it at Best Buy, it was 70 bucks, but after all the rebates, I'll only have paid $20.
You totally lucked out. Enjoy it. I always heard that Lite-On ruled, but this drive is living proof! -
LiteOn DVD Burners are due out shortly, if they are as good as thier CD Burners, they will be a great buy
