  1. Hello,

    I feel I've gotten past my capturing problems (capturing from a Hitachi DZ-MV230 DVD-Cam via USB), so I'm having a new problem . . . .

Working in Ulead Video Studio 7 Trial . . .

I added a title to a clip I'm working on and when I play back the whole project back, it's all choppy and the quality is bad. I saved it in an MPEG-2 format to see what it would look like as a finished project before I burn to DVD.

I'd like to fix this before I burn to DVD, obviously.

I have no special codecs loaded. Do I need them?

I'm also wondering if my processor/memory is insufficient (I kinda doubt it). I have a ASUS A7V-133 MB with an Athlon Thunderbird 900 Mhz CPU and 512MB of PC-133 memory. I also have at least 10GB of hard drive space left on my HDD.

  2. After you import your MPEG video from your Hitachi camcorder, please right mouse clip on the clips in your ULEAD VideoStudio 7 timeline.

    Then click on PROPERTIES.

What are the PROPERTIES of your video?

Once you know that information, then it is very important to click FILE>PROJECT PROPERTIES and then click the EDIT button to choose establish *identical* project settings.

In this way, you can add titles and keep rendering to a minimum to retain the highest possible quality through Ulead's automatic Smart Render technology.

You can download a tutorial about how to apply titles in ULEAD VideoStudio 7 by visiting this page:
