huffyuv is very fast, so is uncompressed..... but why avi to vcd, just go rm to vcd
You win some, and you lose some, and some get rained out...

  3. you could use something like EO Video to convert the .rm to compressed Huffyuv .avi, then convert the .avi to .mpg with TMPGenc or CCE

  4. I haven't used it that much, but I think that TINRA always works in (pretty much) realtime.

That is to say, even if you go for uncompressed avi output (or huffy etc..), TINRA will take 20mins to process a 20 minute clip, 1hr to do a 1hr clip etc..

It may take longer using high compression (DivX/Xvid etc..), but I don't think there's any way to make it convert in faster than realtime.

Someone please post if this is wrong - as I say, I've only used TINRA a handful of times.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

P.S. ryanreko - how do you go straight from rm to mpeg/vcd, missing out the avi step in the middle?
