InstantCopy CD/DVD Question

Is there any reason, besides the fact that the updates are not available that I shouldn't use InstantCopy CD/DVD. I have it now, and am having trouble deselecting the other features even after doing the registry hack. I just wanted to know if that should be a problem, and if there are any other problems before I spend a bunch of time trying to get it to work right.

I've done 2 disks now with IC7 and am impressed.

I also have the registry tricks/hacks but have not been able to make them work.

I think you will want keep IC7. For me I will use DVDshrink and DVD2one for movies that are of average value to me but IC7 when I really feel it is important.

Please post again if you get the registry trick to work and how you do it.

I think I know what your problem is. Certain DVDs are structured unusually and have the special features in the vob set with the main movie. So when you deselect an item in IC7 that is tied in with another item, they will both be removed. You can use DVDShrink to crop the title, and then when its finished use TMPGEnc DVDAuthor to make a menu.

Well when I look at IC the option to uncheck items is grayed out, so I am thinking the registry trick is not working. But again, I have IC CD/DVD, and not just IC7. So if anybody know if I need to dod something different, or just ask Pinnacle if I can downgrade I would appreciate it.

Well, I got the full InstantCD+DVD too, so thats probably not the problem. Try installing the hack again. If it doesn't work, try looking for another copy of it.
