"This one has got me!"
I have a BT848 TV Capture Card in a Intel 1Ghz PC with a Geforce II AGP Video Card and a 7400RPM Hard Disk
Using the Composite Cable from my Sony HI8 camcorder I can constantly capture at 25FPS PAL 384x256 with Minimal Frame Loss of stored video from the HI8 Tape.
Exact same settings, I remove the composite video and audio plugs from the Camcorder and plug them into my VCR and press play of a standard VHS Tape. For some reason I begin to drop about 6 frames per second!!!!
The Hard Disk or processor is not very active so I don't think they are at fault.
Could the signal from the VCR be different from the Camcorder which would cause capture problems??
Any other Ideas?
