    hi,
    i ve transferred my film from my DV cam to my PC. its a huge file now on my pc. I would like to now how do i convert this avi in to a divx avi so i can then convert it to svcd??? or can i convert the huge file directly to svcd using AVI2SVCD which would compres it automatically???
    any help is appreciated!!!

    You can create the DivX, or XviD file with VirtualDub. Just open the AVI, set your Compression settings to the codec of your choice, and select FILE | SAVE AVI.
