Just looking for some recommendations. I'm looking for something that will convert various formats into AVI so I can can edit upfiles from different sources. Primarily wanting something that can convert Mpeg 1/2/4/DivX/Real/QuickTime --> AVI.
I'd prefer to do it with as few tools as possible.
Thanks!

Hello
Must admit I don't know MUCH about this program but Canopus has a program called PROCODER and from the very little I know about it ... well ... it might just be what you are looking for.
http://www.canopus.com/
This is the link to the CANOPUS website
http://www.canopus.com/US/products/ProCoder/pm_procoder.asp
This here second link should take you straight to the PROCODER page of the CANOPUS website.
Good Luck!
