  1. Hey,
Im tring to encode some mpeg files for use on my pocket pc.. I have tried and tried to create some actual good ones.. but, whenever i do it.. it makes them bad quality, with still.. big file sizes. Like .5-1mb per 10 seconds!

I would like to encode one such as these ones.. These ones at this website seem to encode it to make it really good quality, and still low file size. This would probably be the best for my pocket pc. They made it like 30 seconds for 800kb, and still really good file size. Some of there work is located here if someone would be so kind to check it out and give me some insight on how the actually do that!

The ones I am talking about are such as

    The "Elevator", "burp", "face dance"

im just wondering how they make it that size, while as.. mine always come out to like 1mb per 10 seconds, sometimes more.. ive tried messing with bitrate.. audio.. etc.. always comes out bad quality and huge file size though.. so anyone have any tips for me on how I can encode a mpeg to relatively small file size, with pretty good quality?

    thanks

    right,
they are low resolution, 256X192. use this res in TMPGenc. they are probably taken from a highquality source if the original material is owned by these people, sorry, you're stuck on that one. They probably use something like the Kwag VCD templates found in the tools. these make the GOP;s (Group Of Pictures) longer, allowing lower bitrates with better "quality". have a play with kwags templates at that resolution and that bit rate.
