  1. Hi

When i encode a xvid file to mpeg using Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder and burn the result using nero i have problems with jerky movement when the camera is panning. i've tried encoding the audio file with virtual dub prior to encoding and using a birate calculator to get the correct file size to burn on 1 dvd, and i still have the same problem.

    any ideas

    thanks

  2. sounds like a field order problem. try setting the field order to the opposite you set it on last time (upper/lower).

  4. I think it's the framerate giving you the problems with panshots....I have the same problem.
Check your Xvid video on your computer to see if this problem is already there....in my case the problem is already there.
I'm sorry but I have no clue how to fix this problem hopefully someone can!

  6. I have yet to find a program that can convert an avi to dvd compiant mpg2 that does as good a job as tmpg. I had a problem with jerkyness and when I started to frameserve the video into it with virtualdub the jerkyness disappeared.

  7. Could it be that the .AVI is a different framerate than the output file? I had the same problem as I encoded an NTSC file to PAL.

If so, encode your DVD to be the same standard as the source, and this should solve your problem.

That's a conversation I spotted this morning about converting framerates, in case it's not possible for you to encode at the same standard as the source.

    Hope this helps!
