I wondered if i could encode (or author, dont actually know which stage this comes in at) a normal xvid video into a dvd format which stretched to fit my widescreen tv but played normally on a normal tv???
If this is possible what settings should i use (preferably in tmpgenc)
Thanks in advance,
Michael Jones

Yep it is possible. Choose under Settings->Advanced->Source aspect ratio: 1:1 and under Video arrange method->Full screen(keep aspect ratio). Then choose under Settings->Video->Aspect ratio 16:9. (To unlock all the settings load the unlock template in the template extra folder or right click on the setting and choose unlock)
Author with a tool that support 16:9 anamorphic like dvd-lab. -
Cheers for the help mate... is their a prgram which supports anamorphic movies and allows you to insert DVD compliant SVCD (with the audio already converted) such as DVD Workshop (although cant use this specific program because it causes sync problems)...
I know its a bit jumbled but hopefully you'll get what i mean
