I have started to have a problem transferring mini-dv to my computer. I get no sound in the preview and no sound is captured.
If I play the tape on the Camera there IS sound. I am using a Canopus ADVC-1394 to transfer the video. I have used this card and camera before without any problems.
I have tried it with Vegas Video 3.0, Ulead DVD movie Factory and Windows Movie Maker. All three transfer with no sound.
When I first start the transfer I get a loud squeek through my computer speakers and then nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the cables or the card?
