  1. Having an AVI with an 'odd' numbered resolution, in this case 503X380
I would like VirtualDub to resize it to a more standard res before it gets to TMPGenc.
    How can I do that?
    Thanks for the answer.

  2. By the way, I tried to resize with the filter option of virtualdub, but when I use tmpge, the outpout video is always split in diagonal (from left to right) with a line made with little black triangles What could that be?
    Anybody?

I use the resize filter set at Lanzcos3 before frame serving to TMPGEnc, and have never found any problems with it.

  4. Unless you want to run other VDub filters on it I would just let TMPGenc resize it.

    1) Load your desired template (or settings)

    2) Load you source video

    3) Click on settings, then the advance tab.

    4) Under source aspect ratio choose '1:1 (VGA)'

    5) Under video arrange method choose 'full screen (keep aspect ratio)'

TMPGenc will then resize the video so that it takes up the full width of the screen and letterbox it to maintain the source aspect ratio.

  5. Thanks for the answer.
But the problem is still there. I resized with the filter set at Lanzcos3, but the output still have the same problem, the image is always split in diagonal (from upper left to bottom right) with a line made with little black triangles.
When I play the AVI with Windows Media Player, it looks ok, with just a small green line on the right edge.
    Strange no?
    Any other ideas please?
    Thanks in advance.

  6. I agree with Vejita-sama. I have always let TMPG resize my video. I have never had a problem either.
