  1. Hi...i am new to AVI to SVCD.
If I have a 700 Mb avi file and want to convert it to MPEG2(SVCD), I split it up in two(TMPGenc).
Then I choose a 80 mins. cd as my media, and the blue bar in the bottom of the screen, says that it fits, but the file size is 770 Mb!!??
If i then try to burn it(Nero) it writes the file, but then it Lead-Out for about one hour and then fails!?!?? I have done it with smaller files....

    What is wrong??

  2. Are you burning in data mode or (S)VCD mode??

If I'm understand correctly, you're left with a 770 MB MPEG file?? If you want to burn this as data (MPEG) you won't be able to fit it on a disc because the file size exceeds the capacity of the disc!

IF however you want to burn it as (S)VCD, you can fit about 800 megs on the disc.....so this should work fine.

Just make sure you pick Super Video Disc in Nero before you add your file.....that is, IF you have an mpeg2 file.

    Good luck!!

  5. it stops after one hour....sometimes it says : Burn process failes at 4x and sometimes it says that it succeeded, but there is still nothing on the disc...
