I successfully (almost) backed-up my copy of Black Hawk Down by ripping the files to my harddrive using DVD Decrypter, used DVD Shrink to resize it from DVD-9 to DVD+R, then opened it in IfoEdit to delete playback of FBI warnings, "R Rated" warning, etc. I then made an image of all my files using IMGTools Classic and finally burned that image with DVD Decrypter.
The menu on BHD has a "play movie option" and "scene selection" option as with most DVD's. When I played it in my Toshiba sd-2008U DVD player and selected "play movie", all the junk warnings that I didn't want played, and then on the last warning, the picture froze.
However, when I hit the "scene selection" option and played the first chapter, the movie played perfectly. And, get this, when I selected the menu while the movie was playing, and then hit "play movie" again, the movie would play perfectly
The "play movie" option only plays perfectly after I have started the movie by selecting "scene selection"
This only happens in my Toshiba sd-2008. On my other Toshiba, DVD works perfectly as I wanted it too.
Any ideas from the peanut gallery? Sorry in advance if my post is too confusing.
