Are there any good Codec Packs besides Nimo out there? I have lot of trouble when I try converting SVCDs to VCDs because certain files won't load in TMPGEnc because of the codecs and what not. Also, if there are no other good codec packs, what are some good basic codecs I should get to be able to convert SVCDs to VCDs?
Thanks,
Leigh

If the scvds were encoded properly you should only need the TMPGMPEG2-plugin. This would allow you to load the files directly into TMPG. You could also use virtualdub-MPEG2 to frame serve to TMPG. Both are freeware available in the tools section of this web page. As far as codecs go, most people would say only install the ones you need. Most people would also say get rid of NIMO. I personally had trouble after installing the NIMO package. I switched to the k-lite codec pack which is much better. Don't overdo it with the codecs. Too many can cause conflicts which can cause problems.
